Slow Foxtrot

Feather Step

  • Timing = SQQ
  • Step 3 Outside Partner in CBMP
  • Leads Footwork = Heel, Toe, Toe Heel (Down, Up, Up to Down)
  • Follows Footwork = Toe Heel, Toe Heel, Toe Heel (Down, Up with no foot rise, Up to Down)

Three Step

  • Timing = SQQ
  • Leads Footwork = Heel, Heel Toe, Toe Heel (Down, Down Up, Up to Down)
  • Follows Footwork = Toe Heel, Toe Heel, Toe Heel (Down, Down Up with no foot rise, Up to Down)

Routine

  • Feather Step
  • Reverse Turn
  • Feather Finish

Rumba

Basic Actions

  • Feet always in "V" shape
  • Use Settling Action every time you move
  • Push the body across to the other foot for every Weight Transfer
  • Always Collect Leg underneath body before moving

Cucarachas (Cockroaches)

  • Split Weight between feet
  • Focus on hip movement, not body movement
  • "Figure 8" Action caused by hip settling sideways and pushing, not moving hips around
  • Feet always in "V" shape

Cuban Rocks

  • Full Weight Transfer on each count
  • Use Standing leg and foot to Push body every count

Routine

  • Fan
  • Hockey Stick
  • Cuban Rocks
  • Back Walks
